Patronal Feast of Madonna del Sudore and Saint Roch

The 2025 edition of the Feast of the Madonna del Sudore and Saint Roch confirmed, in late September, the traditional blend of faith and folklore that characterizes the patronal feast of Ripa Teatina, in Abruzzo.

The heart of the event was the procession through the streets of the historic center and the liturgical celebrations in honor of the Virgin and Saint Roch. Alongside the religious rites, the program featured the Abruzzese dialect poetry contest, with the recitation and awarding of poems in the local vernacular, the porchetta festival with food stalls, and evenings of music and entertainment in the square, which animated the town until late at night, involving residents, visitors, and the many Ripa natives who returned for the occasion.
