The 2025 Patronal Feast
The 2025 edition of the Saint Vincent the Martyr feast in Gioia dei Marsi took place on the first Sunday of September, with the opening of celebrations on Sunday, September 7 in Piazza Municipio. The patronal feast represented the culmination of a particularly lively summer for the Marsican municipality.
The 2025 summer calendar, presented by the administration led by Mayor Gianluca Alfonsi in collaboration with local associations, offered 64 events spread from July to the end of September: excursions in historic villages, shows, concerts, traditional food festivals, and cultural activities, with events also held in the hamlets of Casali d'Aschi, Gioia Vecchio, and Sperone. The mayor emphasized how culture represents the main engine for the revitalization of the territory, while the Municipality obtained the "Spiga Verde" recognition for the third consecutive year.
