Patronal Feast in Honor of Saint Donatus

2025 Edition

In 2025, the village of Celenza sul Trigno once again celebrated its patronal festivities in honor of Saint Donatus, confirming the unchanging calendar that has marked the first days of August for centuries. The three days, from August 6th to 8th, saw the alternation of devotions to Saint Nicholas of Bari, Saint Donatus, and Saint Dominic the Abbot.

The heart of the festival was, as always, the procession on August 7th with the statue of the patron saint accompanied by the evocative votive basins carried by the pacchianelle in traditional costume. The community gathered around the sanctuary for holy masses, band concerts in the square, the raffle of the basins, and the pyrotechnic shows that closed the festivities in style, drawing numerous emigrants and visitors from neighboring towns to the village.
