Patriarch Saint Joseph Festival

The 2025 edition of the Patriarch Saint Joseph Festival in Mascalucia confirmed the strong bond of the Etna community with the Saint Patriarch, venerated in the Santa Maria della Consolazione Parish.

After the days of the novena and the lighting of the illuminations on March 18th, the traditional rites took place on March 19th: the auction of offerings, the Cavalcata di San Giuseppe with horses and Sicilian carts, the distribution of blessed bread, and the procession of the statue through the streets of the center, with the characteristic Calata dell'Angelo at the ancient church of San Nicola and the final fireworks.
