Paternò Medieval Festival

The 8th edition of the Paternò Medieval Festival took place from Thursday, May 22 to Saturday, May 24, 2025, on the Historic Hill of the municipality in the province of Catania. On Thursday morning, at 10:00 AM, the historical pageant departed from the Matrice staircase with the participation of local school students, kicking off three days of re-enactment.

The program included the knighting ceremony, historical dances, a treasure hunt, and numerous performances by flag-wavers, drummers, falconers, jugglers, fire-eaters, musicians, and belly dancers, with military encampments around the Norman Castle and the San Francesco site. The event, dedicated to the court of Bianca of Navarre, was organized by the Associazione Culturale Coro Polifonico Sturm und Drang with its Chamber Orchestra.
