2025 Edition — the 55th Fava Bean Festival
The 55th edition of the Paterno Fava Bean Festival was held on Saturday, May 31, and Sunday, June 1, 2025, in Piazza Gagliardi, Avezzano. The food stands opened at 7:00 PM on both days, featuring the traditional menu based on fresh Fucino fava beans: pasta with fava beans, fried fava beans, prosciutto, pecorino, and wine from the Cantina del Fucino.
The evenings were enlivened by live concerts starting at 9:30 PM: on Saturday, May 31, Maridò, Emy & Armando performed, while on Sunday, June 1, it was the turn of the Tequila & Montepulciano Band, with free admission. A festival that has been celebrating the authentic flavors of the Abruzzese rustic tradition for over half a century.
