The 2025 edition in brief

On July 5 and 6, 2025, Picinisco hosted the twenty-third edition of Pastorizia in Festival. On Saturday afternoon, the opening of the adventure park and the exhibition-market preceded the symbolic moment of the event: at 7:00 PM, in Piazza Capocci, the cutting of the giant wheel of Pecorino di Picinisco PDO with a tasting offered by a local farm.

On Sunday morning, the Mountain Park hosted a conference on the enhancement of transhumance, involving the Comino Valley and the Abruzzo, Lazio and Molise National Park. In the afternoon, stories of nature and transhumant memories were shared, followed by the children's workshop «I Pastorelli all'opera».

On both days, the gastronomic trail «Il Tratturo del Gusto» offered traditional agro-pastoral dishes in the village squares, including 'cacio e pepe' fettuccine (Picinisco style) and lamb preparations, accompanied by roaming folk music.
