Edition 2025 — Passion of Christ

In 2025, Ripa Teatina once again renewed its Palm Sunday tradition with the Passion of Christ Re-enactment in its historic center. As per tradition, costumed performers brought the living tableaux of the Passion to life through the alleys and squares of the Teatine village, in a free-admission evening that involved the entire community and opened the Holy Week.

On Palm Sunday 2025, the historic center of Ripa Teatina (province of Chieti) once again served as the setting for the Passion of Christ Re-enactment. The event, with free admission, featured the usual traveling re-enactment composed of living tableaux: residents of the village of all ages wore period clothing to portray characters from the Gospel narrative throughout the alleys and squares.

The event, promoted by local cultural associations with the support of the Municipality of Ripa Teatina, confirmed the vitality of a tradition deeply rooted in the local community, capable of uniting folk faith, memory, and the enhancement of the Abruzzese village's historical heritage at the start of Holy Week.
