Passion of Christ of Partanna Mondello

The 58th edition of the Passion of Christ of Partanna Mondello, organized by the Giovanni Paolo II Artistic Group presided over by Giuseppe Gottuso, was held during Holy Week 2025. On Saturday, April 12, starting at 5:30 PM, the Via Crucis and Crucifixion were performed in the center of Palermo, starting from Piazza Pretoria and arriving at the steps of the Teatro Massimo. On Sunday, April 13, at 5:00 PM, the Entry into Jerusalem took place with the Historical Pageant and the participation of parish children along the main street of Partanna Mondello. Further performances were held on Wednesday, April 16, and Saturday, April 19. The direction was handled by Calogero Spina, assisted by Vincenzo Prestigiacomo, with set designs by Antonino Gottuso and Antonino Barone, and Calogero Cappello in the role of Christ.
