Passio Christi

The tenth edition of the Passio Christi was held on Sunday, April 13, 2025, Palm Sunday, starting at 5:00 PM in the historic center of Motta Montecorvino (FG). Over 150 performers brought the representation of the final moments of Jesus' life to life along the village streets.

A distinctive feature of the 2025 edition was the Passio Christi Association's choice to network with neighboring municipalities of the Monti Dauni: residents from San Marco la Catola, Volturino, Alberona, Lucera, and even San Bartolomeo in Galdo (in the province of Benevento) took part in the performance. Once again, the community mobilized for the preparation: hand-stitched tunics and robes, wooden crosses for Calvary, and candelabras made by local artisans. Admission was completely free.
