Passio Christi

The 2025 edition of the Passio Christi was held in Crispiano on Saturday, April 12, on the eve of Palm Sunday, confirming the ritual that has marked the beginning of Holy Week in the town in the province of Taranto for over twenty years. The itinerant representation involved the community with about one hundred performers, from children to the elderly, led by the Catholic Action of the San Francesco d'Assisi parish. The audience followed the actors through the squares and streets of the center, from the scene of the Last Supper to the Grotte del Vallone, where the most intense moments of the Crucifixion and the deposition came to life. As per tradition, admission was free.
