The Carnival of Lake Iseo

The Paratico Carnival is the event that, every winter, enlivens the village of Paratico, overlooking the Brescia side of Lake Iseo, in the province of Brescia. It is a village-sized festival, built around the masked parade and shared joy, which attracts families and children from Franciacorta and Sebino.

The Parade and Awards

The program revolves around the afternoon of celebration: the gathering in the square of the masks, the procession that crosses the streets of the town, and the arrival in the parish hall, where the most beautiful masks and groups are awarded. It is the moment when the creativity of adults and children is celebrated, in a climate of participation typical of community festivals.

Magic and Carnival Sweets

To complete the day, there is the magic show by Mago Olimpo, much loved by the little ones, and the bar with traditional Carnival sweets: fritters, chiacchiere, mulled wine, and hot tea to warm up on a winter afternoon. A simple opportunity to get together and experience Carnival by the lake.

A Village Festival

Organized by the Municipality of Paratico with associations and the parish, the Paratico Carnival does not focus on large numbers but on authenticity: it is the festival of the village that comes together, of children in costume, and of families sharing an afternoon of joy. For those visiting Lake Iseo in winter, it is a genuine glimpse of local life.
