Edition 2025 — Pantano Tomato Festival

The second edition of the Pantano Tomato Festival took place in Ardea in August 2025, confirming the summer event dedicated to the ancient local variety. The event, organized by the Municipality, featured food stalls, dance school performances, and live concerts. However, the edition sparked a local debate due to the limited availability of the Pantano tomato at the stalls, despite it being the festival's signature product.

In August 2025, Ardea hosted the second edition of the Pantano Tomato Festival, a summer event promoted by the municipal administration to promote the ancient tomato variety recovered after more than sixty years. The event featured performances by local dance schools, live concerts, and numerous stalls with typical products, sweets, and local specialties.

The edition did, however, spark some controversy: several visitors complained about the limited availability of the Pantano tomato among the exhibitors, an aspect that fueled local debate regarding the organization of the festival. Despite the criticism, the festival still attracted numerous participants, confirming the affection of the Ardea community for this identity-focused appointment in the heart of the Lazio region.
