Edition 2025 — Panevin

On January 5, 2025, Pordenone also celebrated the Panevin with Epiphany bonfires lit in the city's districts, amidst torchlight processions, mulled wine, 'pinza' cake, and the ancient custom of interpreting the smoke as an omen for the new year.

On the evening of January 5, 2025, the districts of Pordenone lit the traditional Panevin bonfires, in line with a deeply rooted custom in the Northeast. Amidst torchlight processions, music, and food stalls, the neighborhood communities gathered around the flaming pyres to bid farewell to the festive season.

As tradition dictates, the 'pinza' cake and mulled wine warmed the winter evening, while the direction of the smoke was interpreted as an omen for the new year. An authentic and popular festival, expressing the community spirit of Western Friuli.
