Edition 2025 — Pancuin
In 2025 too, on the evening of January 5th, Basaldella di Vivaro renewed the ritual of the Pancuin, the great Epiphany bonfire lit on via Spilimbergo. The community gathered around the flames amidst fartaia con luganiga and mulled wine, following the Friulian tradition of Epiphany bonfires.
On the evening of January 5, 2025, the Pancuin lit up Basaldella di Vivaro as every year. The great Epiphany bonfire, lit on via Spilimbergo, brought together residents and visitors, with the distribution of fartaia con luganiga and mulled wine. A collective ritual that keeps alive one of Friuli's most deep-rooted winter customs, where the smoke and sparks of the fire are observed for omens about the new year.
