A Spring Festival in the Berici Hills
The Pampano Festival, linked to the Sant'Ubaldo Feast, is one of the most cherished spring events in Meledo di Sarego, a hamlet of the municipality of Sarego in the province of Vicenza, at the foot of the Berici Hills. The name refers to the pampano, the vine leaf that heralds the good season and symbolizes the deep connection of this territory with viticulture and the countryside.
Where and When
The event takes place at the Meledo Sports Field, in Via Damiano Chiesa 5, over two weekends in May. The large covered spaces allow for dancing and dining under cover, whatever the weather, while the outdoor area hosts markets and attractions for the little ones.
What to Expect
- Food Stand open every evening from 7:00 PM, with traditional Venetian dishes
- Covered Dance Floor with folk orchestras, DJs, and themed evenings
- Craft Markets along the festival area
- Bouncy Castles and entertainment for children
Admission is free, in the true spirit of a village feast. The Pampano Festival is organized by the parish committee of Meledo with the support of the Municipality of Sarego, and each year it attracts families, groups of friends, and dance enthusiasts from all over the Basso Vicentino area.
Pampano Festival — edition 2026
The Pampano Festival 2026 in Meledo di Sarego returns with its tried-and-tested formula: two weekends of music, food, and dancing at the Sports Field on Via Damiano Chiesa. The food stand opens every evening at 7:00 PM, featuring typical Venetian dishes, while the covered dance floor hosts a different musical event each night. There will also be a craft market and bouncy castles for the little ones. Free admission.

How to Get Here
Meledo di Sarego is located in the Berici Hills, in the province of Vicenza. By car: take the Montebello Vicentino (A4) or Lonigo motorway exit, then follow signs for Sarego/Meledo. Parking is available near the sports field.
