Palio Marinaro dell'Assunta

The 2025 edition of the Palio Marinaro dell'Assunta saw the 69th senior race take place on Sunday, August 17, 2025, at 7:00 PM in the Porto Canale of Castiglione della Pescaia. The main regatta crowned a long season, marked by the 46th Youth Palio (July 19) and the 26th Women's Palio dedicated to Sonia Andrei (July 20), preceded by timed trials on the Bruna River and the presentation of teams and flags in Piazza Maristella.

The big news of 2025 was the modification of the course: the laps were reduced from 600 to 375 meters, with a greater number of turns for all categories. As per tradition, the season closed on August 30 with the 34th Super Palio of the Maremma Coast, which opened the challenge to crews from Orbetello, Isola del Giglio, and Talamone. The awards ceremony took place at the war memorial, near the port.
