Palio Marinaro dell'Argentario

The 82nd Palio Marinaro dell'Argentario took place on August 15, 2025, in the waters of Porto Santo Stefano, in the Municipality of Monte Argentario. On the racecourse, the Valle district crossed the finish line first with a time of 24'16", the second-fastest ever, clearly ahead of Fortezza. The regatta, technically regular, was however the subject of a subsequent ruling by the Palio Organization: the Palio was re-assigned to the Fortezza district, with the exclusion of Valle from the rankings. An epilogue that dominated discussions for months and made this one of the most debated editions in the history of the traditional rowing regatta of the four Argentario districts.
