Palio di Santa Croce (Barrel Race)

The 2025 Palio delle Botti di Santa Croce was held on Saturday, May 17, 2025, in the medieval village of Suvereto, in the province of Livorno. Starting at 4:30 PM, the barrel race transformed the paved streets of the historic center into a racecourse, with both women's and men's teams busy pushing the approximately 500-kilogram wooden barrels. In the evening, the celebration continued with dinner at Parco degli Ulivi, priced at 25 euros, and from 9:30 PM with music and entertainment in the heart of the village. The event was organized by the Ente Valorizzazione Suvereto and the Amici di Suvereto association.
