The 45th Palio di Sant'Agapito

The 2025 edition, the forty-fifth since the event's inception in 1981, was held in Palestrina from August 16th to 18th, confirming the traditional structure of the patronal feast: costumed parades in the historic center, reading of challenge proclamations, traditional competitions between the four gates, and religious celebrations in honor of Sant'Agapito.

In the preceding weeks, the districts had presented their respective teams of athletes and costumed figures, while the Taverne del Palio had brought open-air dining and Prenestina cuisine back to the neighborhoods. The Giostra della Scifa, with knights striving to spear the suspended ring, remained the most anticipated moment in 2025, followed by the proclamation of the winning district in Piazza Regina Margherita.
