Palio di San Vito – The Coming of the Norman

The third edition of the Palio di San Vito – The Coming of the Norman was held from 5 to 8 June 2025 in San Vito dei Normanni, in the province of Brindisi. The event was inaugurated on Thursday, 5 June, with the historical pageant and the presentation of the Palio banner.

Friday, 6 June, featured medieval dance animated by the Faddanza and MaranSport associations, and the theatrical performance The Last Night of Bohemond the Norman by the Li Scuscitati company. Over the weekend, the medieval encampment of the Compagnia d'Arme Milites Friderici II offered weapons demonstrations, while the districts competed in games such as the Saracen Throw. Sunday, 8 June, the final day, saw the grand historical pageant, falconry displays, flag-wavers, and street performers, concluding with the presentation of the Palio to the winning district.

Thursday, 5 June: Inaugural historical pageant and presentation of the Palio banner.

Friday, 6 June: Medieval dance with Faddanza and MaranSport; theatrical performance The Last Night of Bohemond the Norman (Li Scuscitati).

Saturday, 7 June: Medieval encampment and village (Compagnia d'Arme Milites Friderici II), inclusive medieval lunch, and district games.

Sunday, 8 June: Final historical pageant, falconry, flag-wavers, street performers, and presentation of the Palio to the winning district.
