Edition 2025 — Ring Joust

In 2025, the Ring Joust, the first race of the Palio di San Ginesio, inaugurated the format with morning selection of knights and an afternoon final among the four winners, paired by draw to the gates Alvaneto, Ascarana, Offuna, and Picena. A day of equestrian tradition and historical re-enactment in the Macerata village overlooking the Sibillini Mountains.

The 2025 edition of the Ring Joust confirmed San Ginesio among the capitals of historical re-enactment in the Marche region. The competition, the first event of the Palio, adopted the format with morning selection trials and an afternoon final among the four best knights, paired by draw to the four city gates.

With costume pageants, flag-wavers, and drummers, the historic center of the village relived its medieval identity, anticipating the second race of the Palio, the Pacca Joust, held on August 15th during the medieval week.
