Edition 2025 — Palio di San Cassiano

The 28th edition of the Palio di San Cassiano took place on Sunday, August 10, 2025, in San Casciano dei Bagni, on the occasion of the patron saint's feast. The four districts—Campanile, Porticciola, Pozzo, and Gattineto—competed in traditional trials and the final frog race, vying for the banner created for the occasion by artist Arianna Piccinetti.

On Sunday, August 10, 2025, San Casciano dei Bagni celebrated the 28th edition of the Palio di San Cassiano. At 5:00 PM, the historical pageant in Renaissance costume, having gathered in front of the castle, crossed the village streets to the Church of San Leonardo for the blessing of the Palio and the oath to the captains.

With the lighting of the torches, the challenges between the districts began in Piazza Matteotti: the sack race for Campanile, the pot-breaking for Porticciola, the greasy pole for Gattineto, and the pitcher race for Pozzo. At 7:00 PM, the historic final frog race took place, the highlight of the day, with the banner painted by Arianna Piccinetti as the prize.
