Palio di Colonna

The second edition of the Palio di Colonna was held on June 14 and 15, 2025, confirming the success of the re-enactment that revives the ancient Palio degli Asini in the town of Colonna, in the Castelli Romani.

Saturday, June 14, was dedicated in the afternoon to the Palio dei Ragazzi, with popular games reserved for children and teenagers aged 7 to 14, followed in the evening by the Cena dei Rioni in the town center. On Sunday, June 15, at 5:00 PM, the historical pageant in costume set off from the lower part of the town with over one hundred participants and the Sbandieratori di Cori; after the 'Lancio della Sfida', the competitions between the seven districts took place, followed by the final dinner at the food stand in the square of the Church of San Nicola di Bari.

• Afternoon — Palio dei Ragazzi (ages 7-14) with traditional popular games
• Evening — Cena dei Rioni in the town center

Sunday, June 15, 2025

• 5:00 PM — Historical pageant from the lower part of the town, with over one hundred costumed participants and the Sbandieratori di Cori
• Followed by — Lancio della Sfida and competitions between the seven districts (relay, wheelbarrow race, bucket race, and other skill games)
• Awarding of the winning district
• Evening — Dinner at the food stand in the square of the Church of San Nicola di Bari

• Historical pageant with over one hundred participants in period costumes
• Performance by the Sbandieratori di Cori
• The challenge between the seven districts: San Nicola, San Rocco, Via Labicana, Maranella, Parco Barberi, Pian Quintino, and Osteria
