Edition 2025 — Fucecchio Palio

The 44th edition of the Palio delle Contrade City of Fucecchio took place on Sunday, May 18, 2025. As per tradition, the day alternated between the morning historical pageant, with the re-enactment filled with colors and flags through the city streets, and the horse race at the Buca del Palio in the afternoon. The Samo district won the Cencio, with jockey Gavino Sanna riding El Rey.

Fucecchio Palio 2025

The 44th edition of the Palio delle Contrade City of Fucecchio was held on Sunday, May 18, 2025. In this edition as well, the center of Fucecchio, in the province of Florence, was filled with costumed participants for the traditional historical pageant, a prelude to the horse race at the Buca del Palio.

The Samo district triumphed, with jockey Gavino Sanna on the horse El Rey, led by captain Lorenzo Puccinelli. The victory renewed the enthusiasm of the supporters in one of the most beloved historical re-enactments in Tuscany.
