Palio dell'Oca di Polaveno

The Palio dell'Oca is Polaveno's great summer festival, deeply rooted in the identity of this town in Valle Trompia. Every year, in July, the five contrade — La Fontana, Zoadello, La Valle, Castello, and La Sorgente — compete in games and tournaments that culminate in the spectacular final goose race. Amidst flavours, music, and festive moments, the event celebrates the patrons Sant'Anna and San Nicola, intertwining the religious dimension of the processions with the local rivalry of the contrade competition. A popular tradition that involves the entire community.
