Palio dell'Assunta

The 7th edition of the Palio dell'Assunta animated Lugnano in Teverina between July 31 and August 14, 2025, within the patronal festivities dedicated to Santa Maria Assunta. The re-enactment, inspired by the 14th-century municipal statutes, brought the village back to its medieval atmosphere with processions, knight investitures, and challenges.

The four districts - Turris, Lapis in Gloria, Logge, and Campum Florum - competed for the silver ring in the archery challenge, while flag-wavers, historical dancers, and music groups accompanied the days. The event concluded on August 14 with the Offering of the Candle to the altar of the Assumption.
