Edition 2025 — Palio del Cerro

The 56th edition of the Palio del Cerro took place in Cerreto Guidi in September 2025. The main evening was held on Saturday, September 6th, at 10:00 PM, preceded on Thursday, September 4th, by the presentation and blessing of the banners on the Buontalenti staircase. The Youth Palio concluded the event on September 13th.

The 2025 edition, the 56th, animated Cerreto Guidi (FI) in September. On September 4th, the evocative presentation and blessing of the cenci took place on the Buontalenti staircase, a masterpiece leading to the Medici Villa.

The main evening was held on Saturday, September 6th, at 10:00 PM, with the historical costume pageant and the challenges between the four Contrade — Porta Caracosta, Porta Fiorentina, Porta al Palagio, and Porta Santa Maria al Pozzolo — in the traditional games of tug-of-war, crossbow, ring game, chariot race, and troppoli race. The Palio dei Ragazzi, on Saturday, September 13th, concluded an event organized by the Pro Loco in collaboration with the Municipality of Cerreto Guidi.
