Palio dei Rioni of Monticiano 2025
On June 7, 2025, Monticiano experienced another intense day of Palio. After the morning qualifying heats, the race between the six districts of the Sienese village took place on the Il Tamburo track. The Incrociata district prevailed, with jockey Federico Guglielmi riding the horse Compilation, followed by Borgo in second place and Piazza in third.
The drappellone for the 2025 edition was created by the Sienese artist Claudia Nerozzi. The Franco Nobile Memorial was won by Andrea Chessa with the horse Dollaro, ahead of Diego Minucci and Nino Manca. The event, organized by the Municipality of Monticiano, confirmed the village's strong bond with the tradition of Sienese horse racing.
