Edition 2025 — Palio degli Arcieri
The 2025 edition, the forty-eighth, confirmed the usual schedule of the festival between the end of August and the beginning of September. After the opening of the previous weekend with events and the Palla al Paniere Trophy, the propitiatory dinners of the four Rioni followed from Monday to Thursday. On Friday, September 5, the Blessing of the Palio and the Gonfalons preceded the nighttime historical parade; Saturday was dedicated to medieval and Renaissance-themed re-enactments.
On Sunday, September 7, the final day, the lottery draw and the medieval market enlivened the morning in Piazza Mazzini; in the afternoon, the grand historical costume parade marched through the streets of the center, leading up to the archers' challenge which determined the winning Rione and the assignment of the Cencio for the following year.
