Edition 2025 — Paese Presepe

The 25th edition of Paese Presepe took place on Sunday, December 28, 2025, starting at 5:30 PM, in the historic center of Piraino. The traveling living nativity scene attracted thousands of visitors from across the province of Messina: amidst the illuminated alleys of the medieval village, dozens of performers brought the Nativity and ancient peasant traditions to life along the route from the Palazzo Ducale to the Sanctuary of the SS. Ecce Homo.

25th Edition - December 28, 2025

The 2025 edition of Paese Presepe, the twenty-fifth, was held on Sunday, December 28, 2025, starting at 5:30 PM in the historic center of Piraino, in the province of Messina. The event was a resounding success, with thousands of visitors arriving from all over the province.

Along the alleys lit by candles and lanterns, dozens of performers in period costumes animated the living tableaux of the Nativity and ancient crafts, accompanied by the sound of bagpipes. The route wound from the Palazzo Ducale to the Sanctuary of the SS. Ecce Homo, ending at the Nativity grotto. The event, organized by the Associazione Torre Saracena with the patronage of the Municipality of Piraino, was part of the "Piraino and the Wonder of Christmas 2025" program.
