Outsider Festival 2025 in Ostuni

The third edition of the Outsider Festival was held from September 17 to 21, 2025, with Ostuni (the White City, Province of Brindisi) and the nearby town of Cisternino acting as widespread stages in the Itria Valley. The opening, on Wednesday, September 17 at 6:30 PM at the Casa della Musica in Ostuni, combined institutional greetings from the municipalities of Ostuni and Cisternino with the first poetry readings, embellished by soprano Javiera Tapia and pianist Anne Thomas.

The lineup brought poets from several countries to the city — including Claudia Cecilia Vaca Flores, Javier Claure Covarrubias, Mirna Ortiz, Pietro Berra, and Barbara Herzog — accompanied by moments of theater, dance, and live music, featuring maestro Francesco Palazzo on the accordion. There were also poetic walks in the historic center and meetings with independent publishers. Free admission, artistic direction by Adele Nacci and Dario Lacitignola, organized by the Casa della Poesia Norah Zapata-Prill of Ostuni, with numerous local partners.
