Our Lady of the Rosary Festival in Monacizzo

The 2025 edition of the Our Lady of the Rosary Festival took place on Sunday, October 19, in the village of Monacizzo, in Torricella (Province of Taranto). The day began at 8:00 AM with Holy Mass in the small church of Madonna di Loreto.

In the afternoon, at 4:45 PM, the Holy Rosary was recited at the parish church of San Pietro Apostolo, followed by a solemn procession through the streets of Monacizzo, accompanied by the Sava brass band. In the evening, at 8:30 PM, the square hosted a concert of pizzica, tarantellas, and folk songs by the group Arianostra, along with a performance by the New Dance & Style dance school from Lizzano. The festival was completed by an artisan market and a final fireworks display. The celebration, as noted by the parish priest Father Cosimo Lacaita, was also dedicated to Blessed Bartolo Longo, the tireless apostle of the Rosary.
