Our Lady of Mount Carmel Festival

The 2025 edition of the Our Lady of Mount Carmel Festival took place on July 16th in Sutera, renewing the most deeply felt religious tradition of the village. On the afternoon of the feast day, the statue of the Virgin was carried in procession through the streets of the town, from the Church of Maria SS. del Carmelo to the Church of Sant'Agata, before returning to the Carmine with the act of entrustment of the Sutera people to the Patroness. The carmeliadi enlivened the days before the feast, and the fireworks marked its conclusion, in a climate of devotion and shared celebration among residents and Sutera natives who returned from abroad.
