Edition 2025 — Our Lady of Mount Carmel
The 2025 edition
The festivities in honor of Our Lady of Mount Carmel in Palestrina began on Friday, July 4, 2025, and concluded on Monday, July 21, following the traditional pattern of the novena followed by the octave. The initiative was promoted by the Confraternity of Mary Most Holy of Mount Carmel and the Third Order of Carmelites of Palestrina, with the involvement of the parish community of Sant'Antonio Abate.
Key moments
The first highlight was Sunday, July 13, with the solemn procession of the statue of the Madonna through the streets of the historic center of Palestrina. This was followed, on Tuesday, July 16, by the liturgical feast of the Blessed Virgin Mary of Mount Carmel, a date set for Palestrina since the 17th century. The complete program of celebrations was distributed in the parish flyer and covered by the Diocese of Tivoli and Palestrina.
