2025 Edition

The Madonna della Grazia Festival 2025 in Galatone confirmed its usual schedule in the first days of September. In the days leading up to the festival, the novena was recited every evening with Eucharistic celebration at the Convent-Sanctuary of the Grazia.

The highlight was the evening procession with the statue of the Virgin along the streets of the center, accompanied by the brass band and concluded with fireworks. The Bread and Wine Festival re-proposed the bread with ricotta and salted sardines washed down with mieru, the frugal meal of pilgrims on the slopes of the convent among the olive trees.

On September 8th, on the day of the Nativity of Mary, numerous masses were celebrated in the sanctuary, with the main celebration presided over by the Bishop of Nardò-Gallipoli, amidst illuminations, market stalls, and firework displays that lit up the sky of Galatone.

Novena: in the days leading up to the festival, rosary, novena, and Eucharistic celebration every evening in the sanctuary.

• Eve — solemn evening procession with the statue of the Madonna della Grazia through the streets of the center, accompanied by the brass band, with musical responsory and fireworks at the end.
• Bread and Wine Festival — distribution of bread with ricotta and salted sardines, accompanied by local wine, animated by musical groups.
• September 8 (Nativity of Mary) — numerous masses in the sanctuary, main celebration presided over by the Bishop of Nardò-Gallipoli; firework displays and fair along the town streets.
