Edition 2025 — Oro Verde del Belìce

Oro Verde del Belìce was launched as a new event in Montevago's summer calendar, linked to the process that led the Municipality to join the National Association of Cities of Oil. The festival promotes the extra virgin olive oil of the Belìce Valley, a symbolic product of the local economy, through tastings, street food, and local promotion in the central Piazza della Repubblica.

The identity of Oro Verde del Belìce is rooted in the olive-growing vocation of Montevago and the entire Belìce Valley, in the province of Agrigento. The event is part of the effort to promote local extra virgin olive oil that led the Municipality to join the 'Città dell'Olio' network.

The event serves as a moment to promote the territory and its agri-food excellence, with tastings, Sicilian street food, and initiatives dedicated to olive oil culture, in a western Sicily rich in peasant traditions and olive-covered landscapes.
