Edition 2025 — Future Horizons – Barbaresco Tower

The 2025 edition of "The hill always rises" brought together twenty-two artists from Italy, Latvia, Argentina, and Peru across six municipalities in the Langhe and Monferrato regions. At the medieval Tower of Barbaresco, an exhibition dedicated to Latvian artists Ritums Ivanovs, Sigita Daugule, and Vineta Kaulaca was held from June 22, under the artistic direction of Marzia Capannolo.

The 2025 edition of the "The hill always rises" festival opened on the summer solstice and, for about a month, brought twenty-two artists to six municipalities in the region: Castiglione Tinella, Castagnole delle Lanze, Barbaresco, Santo Stefano Belbo, Neive, and Alba. The site-specific works, created by artists from Italy, Latvia, Argentina, and Peru, were installed in churches, farmhouses, wineries, towers, porticoes, and historic homes.

At the medieval Tower of Barbaresco, on Sunday, June 22 at 6:00 PM, the exhibition of Latvian artists Ritums Ivanovs, Sigita Daugule, and Vineta Kaulaca was inaugurated. The exhibitions and installations remained open until July 20, with hours on Fridays from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, and Saturdays and Sundays from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM and 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. The artistic direction was curated by Marzia Capannolo.
