About Orlando
Bergamo: Capital of Queer Culture
Founded in 2014, Festival Orlando is one of Italy's leading events dedicated to performing arts and cinema with a queer and intersectional perspective. Organized by the Orlando Association, the festival animates the Orobic capital every spring, transforming it into a space for meeting, reflection, and creation around themes of gender, desire, and rights.
Affective Geographies
The 13th edition explores the theme of Affective Geographies, positioning itself as a response to a political and social context that increasingly opposes dialogue on consent, affectivity, and sexuality. The festival thus reclaims the value of culture as a space for freedom and discussion.
An International Program
Six days of programming spread across ten city venues, with over twenty events and around thirty international artists. Among the announced protagonists is Michael Turinsky, who opens the festival with "Precarious Moves" on movement and political action; Matteo Sedda with "Fuck me Blind", inspired by Derek Jarman; Gioele Peressini with "La forma del maschio", an investigation into the repression of non-conforming masculinities; and Diana Anselmo with "Pas Moi", on the discrimination of deaf people.
Between Performance and Party
Alongside performances, dance, cinema, talks, and workshops, the festival offers moments of social interaction and celebration: the 2026 edition concludes with the Wild Wheels party on May 9th, featuring music, performances, and roller skates. Orlando confirms its identity as an open, participatory festival deeply rooted in Bergamo's cultural fabric.

The 13th edition of Festival Orlando takes place in Bergamo from May 5th to 10th, 2026, with the theme of Affective Geographies. The international queer festival offers performing arts shows, cinema, talks, and workshops in ten venues across the city.
Six days of programming, over twenty events, and around thirty international artists make up the lineup, which concludes with the Wild Wheels party.

Getting Here
The events take place in ten different venues in the center of Bergamo, easily accessible on foot or by public transport. The city is served by the A4 motorway and Orio al Serio airport.
Tickets
Tickets for individual shows and season tickets are available on the official website. Some talks and screenings are free admission.
Tip
Consult the program in advance: venues change depending on the event, and some shows have limited seating.
