Santa Maria del Passo International Organ Festival 2025 in Triggiano

In 2025, the 16th edition of the Santa Maria del Passo International Organ Festival offered a rich series of events in Triggiano at the Church of Santa Maria Veterana, spread from spring to winter, in close cultural twinning with Mola di Bari. The artistic direction of Margherita Sciddurlo alternated between sacred repertoire, great masters, and experimentation.

Highlights of the edition included: the "Via Crucis" by Father Serafino Marinosci with Pierluigi Mazzoni on the organ, tenor Sebastiano Giotta, and baritone Gianluca Borreggine (April 6); the duo formed by organist Carlo Barile and violinist Jannis Roos (October 4); the organ providing live accompaniment to the silent film "City Lights" by Charlie Chaplin, with improvisation by Domenico Tagliente (November 30); and the "Erik Satie 100" concert with Margherita Sciddurlo on the organ and Luigi Morleo on percussion (December 19). Admission was free until capacity was reached.
