Cycling tours between archaeology, history, and nature of the Oderzo area
The Opitergium Archeo Bike Fest is the cycling tourism event in Oderzo, in the province of Treviso, dedicated to discovering the territory on two wheels. The name recalls Opitergium, the ancient Roman city that gave rise to Oderzo: the idea is precisely to combine cycling with the narrative of the local archaeological and historical heritage.
The event offers a series of cycling excursions spread between late April and May, on routes suitable for all levels. Each stage crosses the countryside and hamlets of the Oderzo area and includes thematic stops and points of cultural interest, transforming the ride into an opportunity to get to know the territory. In some editions, the program is also enriched with moments of entertainment, such as the itinerant performance "I Menecmi" by Plautus.
The event is organized by AL2 Sport in collaboration with Scopri Oderzo (the city's tourist information office) and is aimed at families, enthusiasts, and cycle tourists. It is designed to enhance the network of secondary roads and villages in the Oderzo district, combining physical activity and the discovery of the Venetian landscape.
The 2026 edition of the Opitergium Archeo Bike Fest offers its cycling tours in May, with stages on May 3, 9, and 10. The routes, suitable for all levels, cross the countryside and hamlets of the Oderzo area and are enriched by thematic stops and points of cultural interest, combining sport and discovery of the territory. On May 9, the itinerant theatrical performance "I Menecmi" by Titus Maccius Plautus is also scheduled.
Details of routes, distances, and times will be published by AL2 Sport and Scopri Oderzo before each stage.
Oderzo can be reached by car from the A28 motorway (Oderzo exit) or from the A27 via Conegliano. Oderzo train station is on the Venice-Udine line. The rides start from the center or from meeting points indicated for each stage.
Cycling excursions open to all levels. Registration and route details through AL2 Sport and the Scopri Oderzo office.
