Opera Festival 2025 - Sciara

The fifth edition of Opera Festival was held in Milo, in the province of Catania, from August 21 to 24, 2025. The edition, titled "Sciara"—a Sicilian term indicating the expanses of solidified lava of Mount Etna—focused on the dialogue between heritage and innovation, between the avant-garde and the roots of the territory.

The line-up brought together artists such as Batu, Polygonia, Claudio PRC, Ciel, OCB, Kosh, Bambi, Daura, Cheval, Silvae, and La Bek, featuring live acts, DJ sets, talks, installations, and performances throughout the village.

A central moment was the Etna Morning: at dawn, Matteo Nasini performed "Etna Sonica" live, a composition built from seismic data provided by the National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology (INGV), transforming the tremors of the volcano into sound while the audience, among the vineyards, awaited the sunrise in front of Mount Etna.
