Olive Oil and Mandorla Pizzuta Festival

The fourth edition of the Olive Oil and Mandorla Pizzuta Festival was held in Montemaggiore Belsito (Province of Palermo) from Friday, November 7 to Sunday, November 9, 2025, under the theme of Green Gold and White Flower.

The event kicked off on Friday with the The Festival Goes to School initiative at the Aula Magna of the I.C. Monsignor Arrigo. On Saturday and Sunday, the town center came alive with the opening of the Giovanna Bellomo Civic Museum and historic churches, bread and oil tastings at the Spinuzza Mill, live cooking demonstrations, and a conference dedicated to olives and almonds at the Multifunctional Center.

Musical and folk guests included the street band I Cugini della Serenata, the Tamburinari di Polizzi, the Kimola Street Band, the group I Burgisi di Marsala, and the Sbandieratori di Caccamo, accompanied by Radio Mandorlita and Vespa Club motorcycle rallies. Local specialties like the cubaita muntimajurisi were, as always, a highlight.

Friday, November 7 (10:00-18:00): "The Festival Goes to School" at the Aula Magna I.C. Monsignor Arrigo. Saturday, November 8 (9:30-22:00): Opening of the Giovanna Bellomo Civic Museum and historic churches; bread and oil tasting at the Spinuzza Mill - Madonna del Carmine; in Piazza Roma: Radio Mandorlita, I Cugini della Serenata Street Band, Tamburinari di Polizzi, and Kimola Street Band. Sunday, November 9 (9:00-20:00): Oil tastings at the mill; Vespa Club motorcycle rally; "Green Gold and White Flower" conference at the Multifunctional Center; live cooking by IPSEOA di Alia; performances by I Burgisi di Marsala and the Sbandieratori di Caccamo.

Tastings of extra virgin olive oil and Mandorla Pizzuta, oil mill processing, live cooking demonstrations, guided tours of the Civic Museum and churches, street bands, drummers, and flag-wavers, conference on olives and almonds.
