Nuovi Mondi Festival

The 14th edition of the Nuovi Mondi Festival was held in Rittana (Cuneo), at the Base Camp, from July 1 to 5, 2025, with the theme "Blue Ocean". The program alternated screenings and meetings with great protagonists: navigator Giovanni Soldini and mountaineer Hervé Barmasse (July 1), mountaineers Juanito Oiarzabal and Silvio Mondinelli (July 2), actress Sabina Guzzanti (July 3), journalist Gad Lerner and explorer Lorenzo Barone (July 4), and Olympic champion Alex Schwazer (July 5).

The international competition presented 26 documentaries selected from over a thousand entries, coming from 13 countries and four continents, divided into the sections "Yes, Travel", "Up High", "So Close, So Far", and "Suspended in Time". The edition was completed by a packed program of off-events and the Social Camping in Roccasparvera, confirming the festival's vocation as a project spread across the territory of the Valle Stura.
