Edition 2025 — Notti d'Autore

In 2025, the feast of Saint Roch in Maiano changed its format: the usual festival with artists and craftsmen was not held. Instead, the district hosted an evening on Saturday, August 23rd, at Largo Recanzo, entirely dedicated to the San Rocco meatball, featuring talks on food and wine tourism, tastings of the original recipe, and folk music. The following day, Sunday, August 24th, the saint's procession took place through the village streets.

A reduced-format edition

Summer 2025 marked a pause for Notti d'Autore: in Maiano, a hillside district of Sant'Agnello, the festival with artists' works and craftsmen's stalls was not held, much to the regret of regular visitors.

The evening dedicated to the meatball

On August 23rd, 2025, from 8:00 PM in Largo Recanzo, the Municipality of Sant'Agnello organized a cultural and gastronomic evening dedicated to the San Rocco meatball, a local product with twenty-one ingredients and a characteristic sweet-and-sour taste, currently in the process of receiving De.Co. recognition. The program combined a talk on food and wine tourism, a tasting of the original recipe, and music by the Cantori Popolari Flegrei.

The rites of Saint Roch

The festival concluded on Sunday, August 24th, 2025, with sacred rites and the procession of Saint Roch through the streets of the district, confirming the vitality of a popular devotion rooted in the Sorrentine Peninsula.
