Notte di Sapori in San Pietro

The first edition of the Notte di Sapori in San Pietro was held on August 2 and 3, 2025, in the square of San Pietro, about 800 meters from the beach of Maiori, along the Via Vecchia Provinciale Chiunzi. The initiative was promoted by the Circolo ANSPI San Pietro in Posula with the “Marini-Gioia-Comite” Hotel Management School as a moment of gathering around good food and local traditions.

The menu included fresella with cherry tomatoes, green olives, and mozzarella pearls, handmade cavatelli with sausage ragù, cuzzetiello with tomato sauce and meatballs, watermelon, limoncello babà, as well as water, wine, and limoncello. Admission was free, while a contribution was required for the full menu, which could also be purchased in advance. The group Song Ro Sud animated the square with engaging folk sounds, while historical images and projections told the story of the Maiori of yesteryear and the history of the district.

The outcome was positive in terms of participation and organization: the 1,500 euros raised were divided among a foundation for ALS research (500 euros), the “Stella Costa d'Amalfi” association for Lafora disease research (500 euros), the Parish of San Pietro in Posula (300 euros), and the Maiori Volunteer Group (200 euros), in addition to 300 kilos of peeled tomatoes donated to the Hotel Management School.
