Night of Lights

The 2025 Night of Lights was held in Terrasini, in the province of Palermo, on the night of Monday, September 1, 2025, with the main moment starting at 11:30 PM in Piazza Duomo.

As per tradition, the community gathered in front of the Mother Church of Maria Santissima delle Grazie: just before midnight, the bells rang out in a peal, while families lit lamps and candles along the streets of the historic center. The municipal administration, together with the Pro Loco and local associations, set up a path of lights and music from the seafront to the square, accompanied by a narrating voice that recalled the earthquake of September 1, 1726. The evening, with free admission, confirmed the vitality of a tradition preserved for nearly three centuries.
