New Year's Eve in the Square

The Pro Loco of Rocca di Mezzo also organized the traditional New Year's Eve in the Square for the last night of 2024, inviting residents and tourists to celebrate the arrival of 2025 in Piazza Principe di Piemonte. In the village's historic center, on the Altopiano delle Rocche at over 1,300 meters above sea level, the evening took place outdoors with music and entertainment leading up to the countdown and the midnight toast. The free event confirmed the New Year's Eve in the Square tradition as the highlight of the winter season in Rocca di Mezzo, in the province of L'Aquila, in the Abruzzo region.
