New Year's Concert – Teatro Vittorio Emanuele

The 2025 edition of the New Year's Concert opened the year at the Teatro Vittorio Emanuele in Messina on January 1st, 2025, at 7:00 PM. On the podium was Maestro Matthias Fletzberger, leading the Teatro Vittorio Emanuele Orchestra and the F. Cilea Lyric Choir.

The guest of the evening was soprano Linda Campanella, who performed famous arias such as Juliet's waltz from Gounod's Roméo et Juliette, Musetta's aria from Puccini's La Bohème, Adele's aria from Strauss's Die Fledermaus, and Voices of Spring. The orchestral program ranged from Offenbach, Ravel, and Ponchielli to Verdi, Strauss, and Bernstein, including famous pieces like Ponchielli's Dance of the Hours and the Radetzky March as a finale.
