Edition 2025 — New Oil Festival
The 16th edition of the New Oil Festival was held in Frisa (Chieti) from Friday, November 7 to Sunday, November 9, 2025, organized by the Pro Loco Frisa APS. Food stalls were open Friday and Saturday from 7:00 PM and Sunday from 6:00 PM, offering bruschetta with new oil, maccheroni alla chitarra, fiadoni, and the edition's novelty, the bocconotto frisano, a traditional dessert rediscovered according to an ancient local recipe.
At Palazzo Caccianini, an immersive room was set up dedicated to the birth of new oil, an interactive experience with headsets to see the stages of production up close. The palace also hosted the "Michele Ursini" municipal art gallery and the "FotografiAmo – Smartphone Edition" photo exhibition, alongside live music and visits to local mills.
